Circular Economy Block will be established in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki. The Circular Economy Block in Jätkäsaari is a communal apartment block designed, constructed, and inhabited according to the principles of a circular economy.
The project is implemented by Yrjö and Hanna Foundation, YIT, ARK-House Arkkitehdit and A-Insinöörit. The property will feature accessible right-of-occupation apartments, senior rental apartments, and commercial spaces.
The block is part of Helsinki city’s Kehittyvä Kerrostalo program. The construction development themes focus on the circular economy and affordable, replicable circular economy solutions. In this process, low carbon emissions, reuse, disassembly, and repairability are emphasized throughout an extended lifecycle.
